Nestled on an unassuming street in downtown Santa Barbara, Black Sheep is truly a diamond in the rough. This Welcoming classic brasserie could easily be in Paris but fortunately you don’t have to go that far to enjoy its exquisite food, excellent wine selections, and top notch service. Highly recommended!

A trendy Indian restaurant with very good small plates, curries and tandoori entrees. All of the food we had was very tasty and well prepared. They have an extensive wine list by the bottle ( It is wine country after all, and apparently they have a Michelin sommelier) but only offer the “natural” wines by the glass that they are pushing. We tried the “chenin blanc” and a red ( don’t remember the grape). Neither one was at all interesting or very flavorful ( in my opinion). They do have beer, which I would recommend if you don’t want to order a bottle of wine. I wanted to like the natural wine but did not.

Excellent food and service. Music is great too as well as the beautiful view of the harbor.

We had great service! The food was excellent, we didn’t have to wait fortunately we arrived at the tail end of brunch.

The Caesar Salad was fresh and the dressing was a tasty surprise. The Veal Milanese breading was crispy and paired nicely with the buttery, cheesy fettuccine. My friends both enjoyed their Spinach Ravioli and Pappardelle Vodka. Topped it off with us all sharing the Warm Lava Cake...delish!
