The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. The male waiters were lovely and accommodating, but the female server who attended to us was abrupt and rude. One of our friends is pregnant, and we requested well-cooked food for her. When she brought it over, she commented, "This is the stuff you don’t like," which was not the case—our friend simply cannot eat raw food. I also tried to ask her for recommendations, but she cut me off and told me not to interrupt, even though I wasn’t. While the food and overall ambiance were great, her attitude dampened what could have been an otherwise pleasant experience.

Absolutely outstanding Steak and ale pie was about as perfect as you can get..the steaks were flavoursome and perfectly cooked The apple toffee pud beautiful Could not recommend this pub/restaurant more Thanks to the good people of the fox and pheasant for a top notch lunch!!

We really enjoyed our visit to EFES. As always we received a warm welcome, without exception the team here are very friendly and attentive. The food was great, and our daughter the Birthday girl received a piece of chocolate cake, accompanied by the whole team singing and clapping to make the occasion extra special. Looking forward to visiting again with our friends in December.
