Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. Excellent service from Mark. A lively and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of room on our table in the bar area. Really good quality cheese and bacon burger and not overly expensive. Good reports from others for the flat iron steak and the sea bass. Great selection of beers and other drinks. A proper community pub with a prime spot on the river. Highly recommended.
