Boiler House at Pearl is a true Texas original. Situated in the historic Pearl Brewery complex on the San Antonio River Walk, this wine-centric restaurant occupies the former “boiler house” which powered the adjacent brewery. Lead by Executive Chef Alberto "Beto" Gutierrez, the menu focuses on grilled items from local farms and markets, with a focus on “Texas ranch-style” cuisine. These delicacies are paired with extraordinary wines from around the world (available by the glass, bottle and “to-go”), full bar, live music and a casual yet energetic atmosphere. Located in the heart of downtown, The Esquire Tavern is the oldest bar on the San Antonio Riverwalk, opened the year, month and day that Prohibition was repealed. Tending bar in the early days was a highly prized and much sought after craft. Bar keeps then created many of their own syrups, mixes and concoctions and used the freshest of juices with the intention of serving the best products. We at the Esquire have taken a serious approach to the old world of bartending and spun it with a modern twist.     Not your ordinary dishes! The creativity is exceptional! We got the famous Cashew Chicken and it did not disappoint! Flavors were amazing and I felt good after eating which is a plus! We also enjoyed the hush puppies and the garlic noodles! Again, not like anything you’ve tasted before. Our server was great, and knew a lot about the menu ! Service was fast and the price, well let’s just say the value was a steal! Wished we lived here we would have to eat there at least weekly! Loved it!!

    We went to the Boiler House for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The tomahawk medium rare with the sauces were delicious. The brussels sprouts on point. Our amazing waitress Cynthia recommended a fabulous bottle of wine from Caymus that we enjoyed tremendously. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert and it was outstanding. The great food coupled with awesome service has us wanting to go back sooner rather than later. We’re thinking we may hit their bloody Mary bar for brunch next weekend. It sounds super fun and delicious. My husband and I highly recommend the Boiler House.

    The beef fajitas were wonderful as always. Waitress (Megan) what’s great, polite and spot-on attentiveness. Just a wonderful place to go.
