Willie Mae’s Scotch House, established in 1957, is a historic restaurant in New Orleans. After receiving the prestigious James Beard Award in 2005, Hurricane Katrina caused severe damage. With help from various organizations, the restaurant reopened in 2007 and gained recognition as "America’s Best Fried Chicken." The Sanuki A5 Wagyu strip was phenomenal. On Christmas Eve too - thanks to the lovely staff, and all the more reason to indulge! The charred octopus was also deliciously exceptional. 5-stars for the experience
