The salmon mushroom riso dish was wonderful. My husband loves the Jefferson chicken. They seated us near the fire which was lovely.

Toscana Italian Chophouse & Wine Bar, situated in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, offers a refined dining experience that seamlessly blends Italian culinary traditions with premium steakhouse offerings. Housed in the historic 1804 New Hampshire National Bank building, the restaurant's ambiance is characterized by exposed brick, original vault doors, and murals by local artists, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere.

Overall we had a good experience. Good was great. Staff were polite and kind. We ordered salads, meatballs and some pizza. Salads came first and pizza arrived just as we finished which was great. We had to ask about the meatballs. We also sat a while waiting for a server. Our server waited first on table that was seated after us and then came to our table. Otherwise all was good! We’d definitely go back.

As always, our time at Puddle Dock was delightful. The ambiance totally drew you in. Our waitress who we have had at a previous time was very accommodating. Seeing as there was one in our party who is gluten intolerant she was very helpful with choices. The food was mouth watering. We love coming here especially on play nights.

We finally made it to Massimo into our daughter’s second year at UNH. Worth the wait. Literally my dinner was so good it melted in my mouth. I had the squash ravioli to start then the halibut in the the richest/ lightest/ most heavenly artichoke lemony caper broth… i will Not forget this dinner or the adorable ambiance downstairs. The bolognese was also a hit with my husband and daughter. Can’t wait to go back and maybe try the upstairs' next time. Perfect spot for lucky valentine diners tonight.
