Our menu offers an array of original recipe, flavorful, scratch-made dishes, along with extensive selections from the bar, like handcrafted cocktails, craft and small-batch beers, and an impressive wine list. The rustic elegance of our large, two-story restaurant provides a vibrant atmosphere for any dining experience, as well as private and semi-private spaces for private events, celebrations, weddings, business meetings, and gatherings of all types. The seasonal outdoor patio on historic Wales Alley offers views to the Potomac and a fun, casual destination.***Unfortunately we do not take advance reservations on our outdoor patio, but we will do our best to accommodate requests as space is available.** All Major Holidays will require a $50 deposit when booking and subject to a 2 hour table time. We are not just a restaurant, but an institution in Arlington. The first floor of our restored historic property houses an inviting bar and lounge that remains vibrant all hours of the day. Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. We're also more than happy to accommodate business dinners or other special occasions in private rooms.

    First time, and will not be our last! From entering the restaurant and having our coats taken, to attentive wait staff ensuring our eating area was well kept. Truly felt we were dining with royalty. The Ceasar salad was so exquisite and flavorful, followed by the swordfish entree and lava cake finish. The experience was worth the value.

    Great place! Food is so yummy. Ordered the chip and dip for appetizers. Guac so fresh! Ordered thr chicken carnita tacos, the chickrn tenders and the umma burger. Everything was delicious

    All the meals were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our party of four. Larger pizza was very generous; took home half for another meal. Wine prices are quite reasonable for the DC area. Service very good, despite the Brunch crowd. Only real issue was the noise level: it was very busy, though, and people might have been really enjoying their bottomless (or very inexpensive) cocktail/beverage choices. One of our party uses a hearing aid, and the ambient volume made conversation with him nearly impossible. Not the fault of the restaurant, just basic acoustics and energetic patrons.
