Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. Christmas Eve dinner at OEG is a 24-year tradition for my daughter and me. As always, the food was awesome. My daughter and I were quite surprised and disappointed by the lackluster greeting and overall experience when we walked in. The word "dismissive" comes to mind. Because our previous experiences were fabulous, I will look at this visit as a "one-off" one. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025!!!

This was a great experience. From the time we walked in until we left the staff were considerably, attentive, and extremely nice. The energy is inviting. The open kitchen was a nice addition to the experience filling the room with warmth. The menu was clearly designed with deep thought and intention. Would highly recommended.

Restaurant was lovely. We had live music, which was quite enjoyable. Food was terrific-we got the largest combo platter, which had many vegetarian and several meat entrees. There was a good level of heat. Would definitely recommend/return.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Enigma this past Saturday evening, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely delightful, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Our waiter was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel truly taken care of. The bartender also deserves a special mention for mixing some of the best drinks we've had in a long time. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great night out, Enigma is the place to go. We can't wait to return!
