August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch.     When I booked, I choses an outdoor setting, however, as the weather turned, I asked for an inside table - As it turned out, it would have been perfectly fine outside. The staff were attentive, polite and helpful. I was surprised when a decorated plate of icecream turned up with a candle and they sang Happy Birthday to me. The food was 'top shelf' and we will certainly be back!

    This was our third visit to Sasso & thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Was quite busy for a Monday night but we were served in a timely manner & nothing was too much trouble. We have the Arancini balls - lovely & CRISP!! Followed by Rigatoni Amatriciana & Spaghetti Allo Scoglio followed by Tiramisu to share. Wines also lovely. We went for the Italian prossecco followed by a lovely Chianti. Will be back 🫶

    from the moment we walked in the service was amazing, my chicken sniz with the worlds best mushroom sauce, was well worth the money, a very reasonably priced pub with great food and great service, highly recommended
