Born from a Melbourne sunset, our pop-up restaurant, Shelanous, evolved into a multi-sensory journey, blending Melbourne’s seasons into each dish. As we transitioned to “Shelanous”, we retained the essence of sharing, embodied in “nous,” meaning “our” or “us” in Hebrew and French.

Heritage pub turned Greek Islands-inspired paradise, Golden Fleece Hotel has brought Santorini to South Melbourne. Entering off Montague Street, you’ll find curvaceous, stone-look tables, booths and an adjoining bottle shop where the walls are lined with vino you can take away! Make your way up the colourful mosaic-tiled stairwell you'll find a place to enjoy more cocktails after dining down stairs and nooks to sit back and relax, as well as a pool table and our DJ's on the weekend to keep the party forever going. Our Walk-ins only intimate Santorini Rooftop is where you’ll feel most transported, as the sun beams down, sip on a fun Aperol Spritz, or a Aphrodites Elixr of Desire to feel the holiday vibes. The menu is similarly Mediterranean. Among the highlights: Our famous fluffy oven baked bread accompanied by a selection of dips, and a delicious Yia-Yia's style Moussaka. Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties.     We've recently started using Mt Erica as our local. At 5pm it's great for families with young kids. great food options for adults and kids. Food is terrific and consistent and served fast. The Roast Chicken and Chilli Crab Spaghetti are particular highlights. The Chocolate Semi-freddo was a perfect way to finish a meal. Highly recommend.

    From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that transported us into an emporium of fantasy!!!! Whereby, we didn’t want the night to end !! We wanted to stay in wonderland of culinary expertise !!! Every bite is a symphony of flavours and every dish was a work of art, that kept on giving… Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's creativity and passion for food and love of his culinary expertise. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an unforgettable journey through the seasons.. Wow wow Wow !!! I don’t think any other restaurant would match what you have created !!! It is the best restaurant in Australia.
