Their first restaurant together, owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened Here's Looking At You in 2016. Named a "Restaurant of the Year" by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National's "38 Most Essential Restaurants," HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh's "Becoming a Restaurateur." After four magical years as a small independent restaurant, COVID-19 would force its forever closure. From the beginning: The hostesses were super nice upon checking in to our reservation. Drinks & food were phenomenal! Valerie was such an amazing server! We truly had the best time! She was attentive, funny & really sweet. The manager, JR was so nice! He came by to check in& made us feel welcome! We will be coming back again for dinner OR brunch. Thank you all for making my birthday dinner special 😊

Took my wife for her birthday and it was amazing, the service was so good and everyone was so friendly and polite to us. We were able to get window seats and the view was unreal. Definitely coming back again soon. P.S Food 100/10 👍🏻👍🏻
