Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star "Fifth Floor" in San Francisco. Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

    staff was super nice! it was super super busy up until close for valentines day and most everyone had apparently been working doubles or close to. our chef had been at work for 14 hours and was still super kind and friendly! i was surprised to only wait 10 min to be sat considering how busy it was. our server was very attentive and polite. the manager stopped by our group to say thank you and happy valentines day. very welcoming environment! i hope everyone got enough breaks and time to breathe <3

    I took my fiance here for Valentine's day. I had never been here before. The staff was amazing and attended to every need. The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. I would recommend it to anyone.

    We had a really memorable dinner with our 12 year old daughter who loved the pizza. The menu variety offered something for everyone. The preparation of the gnocchi (2 large rather than the smaller finger-sized) was a neat and delicious twist and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Our server had spot-on wine recommendations that paired nicely with our meals. Excited for a return visit.

    Tavern on Kruse has such a great menu with a diverse collection of dishes that I am always sure to find something that I will love. But the Ahi Tuna Burger is the only thing that I have ever ordered. It is absolutely delicious, and the crispy avocado is a special surprise added to it. I hope that they never take this off the menu.
