Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. Hadn't been to Foreign Cinema in a long time; no matter - it's still a great hang! Great food; very attentive staff; excellent wine selection and I love the mix of us in the room: couples, families with children, solos. My partner and I had a wonderful time and we'll go more often!

We flew into San Francisco during the atmospheric river for a 70th birthday celebration. The weather was disappointing but our waiter was over the top great. He was friendly, informative and made the night special. The whole staff made us feel welcome and the food was outstanding. We even received a special birthday treat! Highly recommend this restaurant!
