Meat & Potatoes is a high end gastropub in downtown Pittsburgh. Its kitchen takes as its inspiration the idea of elevating comfort food to a gourmet level. Its chefs are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and its bar staff creates innovative cocktails and serves a range of wines by the glass and draught beers, as well. The menu at Meat & Potatoes is a new take on basic. There are classic appetizers like fried pickles, grilled bread and fried Brussels sprouts, as well as more innovative fare like fried pigs ear and buttermilk fried chicken liver. Meat & Potatoes mains include pot roast, salmon and lamb neck cassoulet.

    Food was great. I had the tuna tartare which was delicious. I also had the Sgt Pepper Manhattan which was a creative twist on a regular Manhattan.

    We had an incredible experience at Soba! My wife and I attended for our 10-year wedding anniversary, and we were greeted with congratulations from the staff and a celebratory card for the occasion. The food was terrific, and service was friendly and prompt. We had a wonderful evening celebrating the occasion at Soba.

    A very memorable experience from the minute we arrived (greeted with bite sized amazing appetizers) to leaving with some hand made chocolates and a souvenir menu. The food was amazing-- interesting combinations, and great wine parings--but seeing how it was prepared and watching the team cook inf front of you really elevated the experience. This kind of dinner could have easily become pretentious, but the warm friendly staff made us feel relaxed and comfortable.
