Old Town Scottsdale’s heart beats to a Latin drum at The Mission where renowned Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox) brings a modern twist to Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America.     We had super fun and delicious birthday dinner! Wife has the sea bass and I had the mussels! Both were delicious. Thank you Logan for being a great server. Especially loved his humor when I said, “ I’ve had mussel from all over the world and he quickly replied….we just get ours right out of the canal”. Anyway, great food, service and fun. We will be back soon.

    Great find in Scottsdale! During an overnight stay in Scottsdale my wife and I were attempting to find seating for dinner on Christmas Eve. We originally booked another restaurant then made the call to switch to Grassroots even though the only seating available was on the patio. We were not disappointed. The Noble bread service was a great start and the soup of the day, a chicken broth type soup with poblano, jalapeño and other seasonings, was exceptional! My spouse had the Waldorf chicken salad, also very good, and the shrimp and grits, an unusual choice for me, was quite delicious. We ended our meal with their key lime pie, and I would highly recommend it. All in all, Grassroots was an outstanding experience - great service, great food and nice atmosphere.
