In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. We sat in the back room and it was extremely pleasant. Noise level not a problem. Our waitress was attentive and charming and the food is delicious. We love George Martin and are there quite often. Always have a good experience and love the ambiance.

Dinner was delicious. The meatballs reminded me of meatballs that I had in Italy… All dishes we ordered were plentiful and there was enough to have again for a second meal. Only complaint I had was that our table was by the window and it was a bit chilly but we sucked it up and didn’t ask to be reseated elsewhere when tables started to open up. We will definitely return again. The pizza looked delicious too!!

We had the best Christmas Eve dinner at Frank’s! The decorations were breathtaking, our waitress Kayla was attentive and personable and the food was incredible. My cousin and I had the petite skirt steak dinner complete with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach which was the perfect amount of food and so delicious. Highly recommend that. Other members of our party had the petite filet mignon which was also incredibly delicious and to top it off we ended the night with the rainbow cookie cake and chocolate mousse. Unbelievable!!! My daughter and mother could not get enough! Thank you Frank’s for the perfect Christmas Eve experience. We will definitely be back.
