Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown.     Had a Valentine Day reservation for 8:30pm and arrived early. Waited about 10 minutes and was seated closed to 830pm. We had our drink order taken within 5 minutes of bein seated. We order off the Valentine Day menu and I order the 14 oz New York strip medium well and my wife ordered the barrel cut filet medium. The food came out prompt and the steak had great flavor. We also order 2 cakes (6 inches in diameter) chocolate and strawberry.

    Nice food. Excellent fried pickles and fish and chips. I suggest the Parmesan fries. The flight was also good with the house light lager being a highlight. Good service and had a nice Valentine’s Day with my fiance !!

    All was well , It was valentines day right a 4:00 pm Doors had just open and there were about 20 people waiting outside. So the place filled up fast and the service was stressed for the first half hour, my biggest problem was when I ordered dessert it took over 25 min. To receive it along with my check? Other than that all was ok.

    They have beef fat fries! Sooo good! Everything we had on the menu was delicious & had amazing combination of flavors. We LOVE the burratta & the burger & Michelle served us today and always had our drinks full and was a great server. We love the whole vibe of Coppins. Love to eat there!
