When chatting he would occasionally reference “those were the Good Ole Days”, and if you think about it, we never actually realize when we are in those special days or moments. And boy did he also talk about and stress the importance of “Traditions”. He often said…. “When I pass they’ll be no more traditions in this family”. Well here at Nunzis we plan on keeping his traditions alive. You will eat with us, drink with us and laugh with us. Families and Friends all enjoying delicious food, fine drinks, good music and making memories. In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. A place for our community to gather and share food and drink that are crafted of the finest in-season regional ingredients. Table preference will try to be honored but can not be guaranteed.
