EVO, short for evolution, represents a dream inspired by my mother to bring the familiar feeling of family to you, by showcasing my Italian home-style cooking from the freshest ingredients incorporated into my family’s recipes that have been passed down from many generations. My Sicilian mother and grandparents raised me to respect the heritage and tradition of the Italian culture. The draw of family brought me to south Florida where I opened Evo to continue to share my family’s secret recipes and the warmth of the Italian way of living. Through hard work and perseverance I climbed the ranks of some of the most well respected and popular restaurants in New York so that I can bring you Evo. So please come and join us. While serving various classic French dishes, we have updated them with unique vegetable and sauces. Our desserts are made in house. All of our offerings are made to order, fresh daily from our kitchen. Our decor, music and ambiance is smart, casual and completely relaxing.     A lovely small French restaurant tucked into a rather dull shopping plaza. Thursdays come with a sophisticated jazz trio who play at a decibel where one can converse. Rare, indeed. With the decor, one might think that they are in Montmartre. Casual, yet classy. Also, the tables are nicely spaced, so that one is not forced to hear neighboring conversations.

    Started off with Stuffed Grape leaves, yummy. Main course we shared the Mana Paella which was plenty for 2, even had a bit left over. It was very good. Dessert we shared the Cheesecake Baklava with coffee, delicious.

    Excellent meal. Ceviche was phenomenal, and plenty for 2 people. Ahi tuna and grouper catch of the day excellent. And Clarissa provided great service. Highly recommend!

    R and J is a treasure! Every dish prepared exquisitely. The homemade paparadelle is to die for. The service matches the cuisine. It’s a hard reservation to get. Plan in advance. It’s worth the wait for sure!
