North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Everything was great we were seated right away, our server was on top of his game. And we went with the turkey special for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint. The turkey was an ample amount, mashed potatoes and stuffing were phenomenal in the pie at the end was a large piece. The server was amazing very attentive and constantly checking on us. The restaurant is a little pricey but well worth it.

Not your ordinary Mexican restaurant. The guacamole is made at your table to your preferred level of spiciness. The margs are to notch, and the food is fresh and delicious. Service was also very good.

We used to be huge fans of Owen & Engine & can see now why this is becoming a local favorite.The place is beautifully lit and feels welcoming. Tuna tartare was very fresh as well as their specialty dish Ossobucco veal shank. Blood orange margaritas were definitely the hit of the evening. Christian & Lupe definitely made us feel part of their own family
