Tapas originated in Andalucia, a Southern province of Spain, and are considered a fundamental way of life. These tasty small dishes are traditional Spanish dishes found in every bar, cafe, restaurant, and home. A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine that can be combined to make a full meal and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) or patatas bravas). We wanted to bring this culinary experience to the heart of East Greenwich creating a shareable experience, transporting our guests to Southern Spain with a variety of diverse flavors and wine pairings that will entice their tastebuds.

A fresh take on American cuisine using the finest ingredients, served in a classy yet casual setting with a family-friendly atmosphere. We prepare delectable seafood, numerous gluten-free options, and natural meats raised without hormones or antibiotics wherever possible. All reservations will only be held for 15 minutes. Please call if a later arrival is needed and we will tell you our next available reservation.We are unable to honor more guests than made on the original reservation due to limited seating. After 25 years of business, David Gravino, owner of Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House listened to many customer requests to have a full service sit-down version of the Clam Shack in Oakland Beach. Iggy's Boardwalk Lobster and Clam Bar is just that. A full-service cozy version of the iconic Iggy's Chowder House. We are housed in an original Quonset Hut, built in 1942 as part of the US Navy’s PT-Boat Training Center at Melville. The space was converted into a restaurant over 30 years ago and began operation as The Gulf Stream Bar and Grille in May 2016.
