Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. Mochten we het geweten hebben dan waren we de hele week hier komen eten. Dit restaurant waar de beste ervaring op onze hele reis. De bediening was top en zo ook het eten. Een echte aanrader, maar je kan best vooraf reserveren.

The Sovereign was an excellent find for us while visiting DC! At the end of a full day we wanted a nice dinner in the Georgetown area and this place was a gem. Great food (best mussels my wife has had) and delicious drinks (awesome Belgian beer selection) made for an outstanding dinner!

Delicious food! We asked for a quiet part of the restaurant, and the hostess seated us in their back room. For most of the meal, we had that space all to ourselves and we were able to enjoy the food, the drinks, and the conversation. That made a perfect evening!

Had to wait a long time for the table even with a reservation due to half the restaurant being held for a holiday party. But the food and service was good once we were finally seated.
