Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. Very much enjoyed our unconventional Thanksgiving dinner at Et Voila. Country pate, mushroom soup, beet salad: all delicious. Mains also good, especially the Carbonnade and skirt steak. Desserts outdid themselves: a layered pumpkin tart and "Alex" mousse cake. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Service was almost too fast: they were clearly trying to move through a big crowd on Thanksgiving day and courses came promptly. They also had a lot of staff to whisk away plates as soon as we were finished. It's a small restaurant and can feel crowded even without a crowd. But we'll definitely be back for the food and service.

We live in Los Angeles, CA and it's our first time in DC. We had Thanksgiving Day dinner at The Hamilton and it was perfect. Our waitress, Ash, was patient and attentive. Food serving portions were generous and tasty. The ambience and decor is modern yet classic, simply wonderful.

Food was FANTASTIC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Foie Gras Appetizer and Steamed Burger. Amazing flavor profiles. Definitely will eat there again.
