We got two cocktails, an app, two entrees and a dessert for $100. In Seattle, it’s really hard to find good gf and vegan options alongside a regular menu and Oak sure hit it out of the park. My husband has a lot of diet restrictions which makes finding really tasty food hard. I’ve been to Duke in Bellevue many times and I have to say it is consistently delicious food, great service and all around excellent. It’s a bit expensive but the food is well worth it.
Really good food, although the menu isn’t very large, but that’s probably why they’re able to have quality for the items they do have. Only disappointment was my daughter was looking forward to pizza and they ran out of pizza dough earlier.
There were a couple mistakes with our order, but we don’t count that against anyone on a busy Friday night when everything else was great. Service was great, food was fantastic. It’s a bit loud in the main dining area, we’ll check out the bar next time. For Seattle food prices, this was great. We got two cocktails, an app, two entrees and a dessert for $100. In Seattle, it’s really hard to find good gf and vegan options alongside a regular menu and Oak sure hit it out of the park. My husband has a lot of diet restrictions which makes finding really tasty food hard. Great job Oak, we’ll be back!
I have seen the light, and it is in a glass. The Brown Butter High at Whiskey by John Howie isn’t just a drink—it’s a life-altering experience. If smooth, buttery bourbon had a love child with the most decadent dessert you’ve ever tasted, this would be it.
From the very first sip, I felt like I had been personally hugged by a warm, slightly tipsy angel. The brown butter adds this silky, almost sinful richness, like someone melted a stick of gold and mixed it with liquid confidence. The bourbon? Oh, that deep, smoky magic glided down so effortlessly I briefly considered asking if they offer it by the bucket.
Halfway through, I caught myself staring lovingly at the glass like it was my soulmate. By the end, I was contemplating writing a heartfelt thank-you letter to the bartender.
Final verdict: Best. Drink. Ever. If you don’t try it, we can’t be friends.
