Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Our menu includes specialties like house-ground cheese burgers, loaded Italian subs with freshly sliced salumi, crispy and cheesy mozzarella pockets, crispy wings, and more. The dining room and bar have a casual but intimate feel with high ceilings, updated vintage architectural features, and warm deco-lighting. The Babe also features live performances several nights a week as well as a cozy backyard patio in the warm weather season. A&B Burgers is one of those restaurants, one that has transitioned into a dining scene based around hospitality, creative menus and a space driven by the energy of the bar.     Our CD server Katie was phenomenal. Knowledgeable about the menu and wines friendly, courteous. The mait tre de accommodated us by getting us in earlier because we had to get up early the next day

    Wonderful food. Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Big shout out to Aaron! Seated quickly with a 6:15 reservation. It got busy quickly after that but no chaos. Next time I may just have the onion dip and homemade chips for dinner! Very tasty. Third time, will be going again. Becoming our favorite place!

    Em was a fabulous server. Food was delicious. Wines were good, not fantastic, but they grew on you. Fisherman’s Platter, fish and chips and lobster roll and clam strips were enjoyed by all. Overall a lovely evening.

    Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
