Basically the dinning area is enclosed by large windows. The setting is very nice and airy(roomy). I ordered the Liberty Duck Breast, medium rare, for myself and daughter. It, as usual, was outstanding. I’m not sure why it isn’t busier than it is. It is one of finest restaurants on Cannery Row. The is on par with the food, outstanding. When I am in Monterey it is always one of my stops.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Portabella! The food was exceptional - every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. What really stood out, however, was the service. Although the space was a bit tight, the staff made us feel incredibly comfortable and went out of their way to accommodate our baby. They provided swift, attentive service, which was a huge help as we were in a bit of a rush. It’s rare to find a place that balances great food with such thoughtful and efficient service. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

From the front of the house, beautiful to the person who waited on us, fabulous! My husband and I have been dining at Estéban twice a year for many many years. Needless to say, our experiences have been wonderful, yet yesterday’s dinner exceeded even the best of our experiences. Please let the host, waitress, and chef know this. Honestly, the food was very good but the service was amazing. Josue our waiter was super respectful and gave us great recommendations. Interesting place.
