Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests. Earle was our waiter, he was thee absolute best!!! Was there to celebrate my wife's birthday and he made it a very memorable experience. Gave my wife a rose, gave us a free glass of champagne and dessert. The food was great, the whole experience was great and that's why we continue to go back. We'll be back very soon. And shout out to the manager who came over to check on everything and offered to book our next reservation personally and provided his phone number.

We discovered 118 North September 2024 and have gone to 4 shows with the new years show up next. Lots of fun! Bar food is ok and service is about what you’d expect in a crowded venue like this.

We dined here Tuesday night. It is the prettiest restaurant in the area. The food was very good. White bean dip, Misto Fritto and Pasta. Everything was delicious. The sound level was really good… you could actually hear each other! We really enjoyed it.
