Celebrated my birthday with my husband and adult daughter at Mia’s for brunch today. Mia’s never disappoints! Fabulous fresh food, excellent service by Ricardo, and bonus tiramisu with a lighted birthday candle. Sunday brunch is an amazing small plates-shared entrees way to truly experience their broad menu. The Sunday Salad is delicious as are the freshly-made pastas with seafood, like Shrimp Fra Diavolo and linguine and clams. Small pizzas with feta and Kalamata olives and a rainbow offering of crisp salads with exquisite dressings are perfect for vegetarians. Highly recommend reservations for this outstanding Sunday brunch in Old Town Alexandria.

This was our first visit. We started with the four gras and the beet salad, both delicious. We had the lamb for two, prepared with Meyer lemon. It was perfectly balanced, the lemon added to the dish instead of overpowering it and the meat was a perfect medium rare. The staff was attentive and friendly, especially the bartender. We would like to go back on a night when they have their tasting menu available. The only thing that was off was that it was very smoky. I think one of their exhaust fans is broken.

I used to go to Ballston mall back in the nineties in my school years, what a change! and this restaurant was just a great experience!

Nicely surprised by the new location! I liked the old location and ambience and find this new location very open, bright and love the big windows. It made seeing what was happening on the street corner so cool to watch from the inside! Guess it helped that it was snowing outside! Good was great and our server was attuned and right there when we needed something! Also nice that I can now receive wifi with no issue! 😉. Well done!

Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!
