Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Il Colosseo is an Italian restaurant that is a local favorite. The dining room here is small and intimate, which adds to the homey atmosphere the eatery provides. At the back of the dining room, Il Colosseo has an open kitchen where guests can watch as the talented kitchen staff prepares the food. The kitchen is dominated by a giant brick oven where the staff cooks up all of its incredible pizzas.Il Colosseo begins its menu with antipasti like fried calamari for two, baked clams, sautéed octopus, sautéed broccoli rabe and a pasta e fagioli soup with white kidney beans and fusilli noodles in a light tomato broth. Outstanding and creative food and excellent service. All dishes were distinctive, well prepared and delicious. Atmosphere was a little noisy for easy conversation but otherwise quite lovely.

A pleasant surprise to come upon Strange Delight- EXCELLENT warm and welcoming professional staff. Food is FRESH and plated beautifully. The overall ambiance and vibe was happy and upbeat. Great place for lunch and a nice way to enjoy a pre-Holiday meal in Brooklyn. We definitely will be back for dinner!!

Pleasantly surprised by the ambience and quality of food. We had a happy hour and dinner, and I was concerned that the dinner would be too casual, but it's a separate space from the lunch space, trendy and appropriate for business dinners. The service was outstanding from the time we walked in to the time we left. Everyone was very happy with the food. Highly recommend this spot.

I loved the ambiance. I felt like I was in an Italian restaurant with old school flare. The food was so good and fresh. The staff was welcoming and personable. I will definitely go back soon. One of my new favorite places to eat.
