Enjoy creatively prepared American fare at Von's 1000Spirits Gusto Bistro. We opened our first pizzeria in 2004 in the burgeoning Capitol Hill neighborhood. For months before we opened curious onlookers poked their heads in the former auto body shop, and outlandish rumors spread. One person saw a team of masons reportedly flown in from Naples to build a gargantuan wood-fired oven, someone heard that the bricks also came from Naples rich with Vesuvian ash, a reporter ran a story about a taxi driver leading our owner down a dark Neaopolitan street to meet a talented Pizzaiolo who was then whisked to an airport….As it turns out almost all of the tall tales are true – on opening night people lined up for the authentic Neaopolitan pizza and since then our ovens have only gotten busier. Via Tribunali has been called "more authentic than the pizzerias of Naples," and even though that is a flattering exaggeration it is fair to say that our pizzerias have grown out of an almost unnatural passion for the food & wine of Southern Italy.

    Wonderful food and service. I hated arriving a little late for the last seating, but our server made us feel welcome and we had a wonderful time! Looking forward to heading back for a more leisurely experience!

    Our Happy Hour orders were perfection. Sardines, salads, clams. Our dinner orders were superb. My wife’s fish was perfectly cooked. Moist & tender meat & crispy skin. My chicken was cooked very well. Soft & tender meat. Only complaint was our bread was cold & it took awhile for our main course to arrive. But other than that hiccup, everything was great. Our servers were attentive to our table. Would mind going back at all or trying the other Sea Creature restos

    Love Hearth !! The menu changes slightly seasonally but always tasty and fresh thanks to their awesome chefs. We live a block away and dine there frequently. The staff and servers are excellent and friendly. The restaurant’s simple and lovely decor is wonderful too.
