Heralded as a "meat speakeasy" by Food & Wine Magazine, chi SPACCA has come to represent the quintessential new Italian dining experience, where accompaniments like the Foccacia di Recco, warm salted Medjool dates, and Culatello & Puglia burrata are just sideshows for the rest of Chef Armen Ayvazyan's wood-fired menu which features a 42-ounce Tomahawk pork chop, a 36-ounce dry-aged bone-in New York Costata alla Fiorentina, and a 50-ounce dry-aged porterhouse Bistecca Fiorentina.Enchanted by the artistry of Italian salumi culture, we built the first “dry cure” program in Los Angeles so that we could experiment and perfect Italian charcuterie techniques in house.

Carmel transports the energy, culture, and flavor of the renowned outdoor marketplace “Shuk HaCarmel” to Melrose Avenue, in the heart of LA’s food scene.Using some of the oldest techniques in the world— a wood-burning oven, an open flame grill— chef Asaf Maoz interprets ancient Levantine cooking traditions through a modern lens.Dishes showcase the best of the season: farmer’s market produce, sustainably-sourced meats and seafood, all prepared with the global culinary influence of the Tel Aviv shuk. Breads are baked in-house, including a 72-hour fermented Moroccan Frena, baked to order in the wood-fire oven.

    Brunch was amazing. The selection of food was phenomenal. My party loved the jersalem bagel, red snapper schnitzel sandwich, and the bourekas benedict. Service was great too. 10/10 would recommend

    I hosted a small dinner party to celebrate my dad's birthday, and we had an absolutely wonderful evening! The food was fantastic, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. Every item we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bar options and wine list were equally impressive, offering something for everyone to enjoy. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional—which made the experience even more special. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we can’t wait to come back again soon! Thank you, Della Terra, for helping us create a memorable celebration!

    This is our second time at Chi Spacca and it's always a great experience. We've always enjoyed the ambience and the atmosphere. We've always enjoyed the open flame of the wood burning oven. It's a perfect space to enjoy a calm dinner with family or friends. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a rustic Italian dinner.

    Connor, was our server. He provided professional & thoughtful service to us, again. Jemma is an outstanding restaurant w/ excellent food. It allows us to conveniently park next door, & dine there, before attending the Pantages. And storing & refrigerating our leftovers, to be reclaimed after the theater, is sheer genius; along w/ pairing a couple of menu items w/ the current Pantages performance.
