As a sharp contrast to fine Italian dining, this is a place to enjoy a glass of wine and unwind with unpretentious pasta dishes served in hearty portions. Tomatina is designed to appeal to as many people as possible, which is why they carry a vegetarian, gluten-free and children's menu in addition to their regular ones. Each month, Tomatina offers seasonal specials in addition to the normal menu. These offerings have included a chicken apple salad, roasted cauliflower pizza and even a proscuitto and fig piadine. Now, under the helm of renowned American chef-partner Jonathan Waxman and fifth-generation San Franciscan James Nicholas, Park Tavern on Washington Square celebrates San Francisco’s vibrant dining scene with a fresh new era. The restaurant has several private dining options available for groups and parties. As a Bay Area native and one of the pioneers of “California cuisine” Chef Waxman leans into his roots, celebrating the region’s local ingredients showcased in simple, seasonal dishes. Guests can enjoy a menu including Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with avocado, blood oranges, and fresno chili salsa, Cavatelli with dungeness crab, lemon, and parmesan, and Kurobuta Pork Chop Milanese with new potatoes and pepperonata. A16 is a Michelin rated and James Beard Award Winning restaurant bringing the delicious and hospitable traditions of lively Campania to San Francisco. The chic, rustic/modernist venue is named after the motorway that transverses the South of Italy.     Zuni is special. It’s that rare combination of exceptionally good food, warm and gracious service and a beautiful, timeless environment where you immediately feel at home. It’s been this way for years and it’s why it is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. This visit reinforced that all over again.

    Went for Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes and did the full wine pairing— a splurge after a busy & draining day/week/year. The space was welcoming and festive, the wine pairings were interesting and thoughtful and the hospitality and service were impeccable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left hours later. Mistakes happen - especially on a busy holiday shift - but any minor hiccups were swiftly addressed. We felt treated like royalty but then also like old friends by the end of the meal.

    A beautiful neighborhood restaurant. Crowded holiday evening but the staff is warm and friendly and we were treated like family. My go to restaurant for delicious food in a sweet and comfortable environment.

    Food was delicious We had pizza ,lovely salads and friendly service. Ambiance is cafe like so very casual. I had the clams and soaked up the delicious sauce with bread. 😋
