Open since 1985, this delightful, unpretentious restaurant in Forest Hill, London, is renowned for its stunning and innovative modern Indian cuisine. Babur's stylish, earthy interior features exposed brick walls, natural wooden furniture and beautiful handmade Bengali artworks. The intimate atmosphere and sensational staff have made Babur a favourite dining destination with Forest Hill locals, and the food is worth making a trip across town for. We highly recommend the spicy sardine fish cake stuffed with caramelised figs; sandalwood ostrich infused with fenugreek; and black cod in spices and mustard oil with mustard mash. The wine list, designed by Peter McCombie, is also superb and features 16 wines by the glass, and 34 bottles for under £20.

Only a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, Cinnamon Kitchen serves innovative, modern Indian cuisine inspired by the same ethos as its Westminster counterpart but in a more relaxed and informal setting. Chef Vivek Singh and Chef Raju Ramachandran have created an exciting Indian food menu that highlight seasonal ingredients that are sustainably sourced and come together in a trademark relaxed all-day dining concept. Lovely chatty staff with lots of knowledge about the food. Guy who served us was friendly and happy. It was a great start to the meal. Food was very good especially the seafood & pork roll. I felt my beef pho needed seasoning so they brought me soy sauce. My first visit and as I’m local I will be back. Much superior to the pho restaurant around the corner. Small gripes…We had to ask twice for the bill which is no big deal. And there was abit of a wait at the door at the beginning but at least our server acknowledged we were there and said he would get to us.

Jack was an amazing waiter. Food was amazing. Mushroom toast, gnocchi, and ribeye all delicious! Fondant au chocolat was also delicious.
