Kai Mayfair’s cuisine has its foundation in Nanyang Chinese cooking, the region located within the South Seas of China. It takes a ‘Liberated’ approach to Chinese cooking, respectful of the flavours from its Chinese heritage but not bound by it, offering a menu primarily of specialities unique to Kai. Very impressed with this unique restaurant. Outstanding service, staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate a birthday. Food was great quality, very delicious. Highly recommend the crackling spinach.

Food was excellent and definitely a premiere dining experience. Cocktails were delicious. Only disappointment was that the nan breads arrived too late on third time of asking. We were not charged for them but would of course have preferred to have eaten them as an accompaniment to our main meal. Overall experience was excellent though and we will be coming back.

Only comment I would make is that the space is very tight, especially the tables for 2 They would benefit from having a coat stand, especially for this time of year. Food was delicious, authentic & not greasy, which as someone who has had the privilege of growing up with homecooked Indian food, was really great.
