    Disappointing. We have eaten at Flaherty's many times before, and this was not their best effort. My cocktail arrived in a skinny champagne flute that was only half full, and the size was the least of its problems. The worst I've ever had. As for my wife's lemon drop martini, I didn't know they made cocktail glasses that small. The kitchen was extremely slow, and the wait was not worth it. I ordered the Prawns Italiano, and the pasta was soft and limp. The waiter's explanation: "We're a seafood restaurant, not an Italian restaurant. To be fair, the 5 shrimps in my dish were excellent. My wife's Famous Seafood Paella is apparently famous for lots of chorizo and short on seafood. After our waiter dropped off our food he disappeared until the bill arrived. Flaherty's charges a Restaurant Adversity Surcharge of 1.8%. If our meal is any indication, I fear Flaherty's will be experiencing adversity for some time. Service and food quality were just not obvious priorities.

    My boyfriend ordered iced tea and I ordered the rosé which I really enjoyed but they never brought our iced tea until we have them reminded. It wasn’t busy at 17:30. For starters I got the artichoke and this time they forgot the country ranch that it comes with it so I ended up with a really dry and tasteless artichoke but we made it work as I just started dipping it with the lobster bisque that my boyfriend ordered, somehow it worked but we started questioning their customer service, come on. We got the classic Italian prawn pasta that I enjoyed, good portion too and the other is the halibut crusted crab which my boyfriend love too. Overall, food is decent but with a really steep Carmel restaurant competition, these simple things that the server forgot to give us matters. Sandra, one of the servers gave us some cookies after our meal to maybe salvage the service but there is just too many options in this lovely town for us to go there again.

    Flaherty's is a longstanding, tiny gem, right in the middle of Ocean Avenue. The food is delicious and service is friendly and attentive. The tables are few, and the restaurant is nothing fancy, but our visit had a wonderful hometown feel. Be sure to make a reservation to avoid a long wait.

    Very nice staff. They have a bar. Kid friendly so a little noisy. Nice selection of fish and chips, oysters and salads. Good location in Carmel close to all the shops .

    Thank you , our dinners were delicious, we had the prawn lobster gnocchi, the prawn tacos, and prawns italiano, our server was very patient as we asked her a lot of questions, we forgot her name sorry

    The food was good. However, with a reservation they did not save you a table. You were given a choice of what was available which was a seat outside, a seat at the bar or a seat in the middle of a long table in-between two other parties. The choice of seating was disappointing.
