Popoca means “to emit smoke” in Nawat, the language of native people of El Salvador who stoked wood fires to prepare food over a comal for their families. Revered as more than just a means of cooking, smoke represents a prayer or offering to the spirits.Popoca is a mix of heritage and play.     You don’t see many people having dinner who are not Chinese. Great for family dinners. My friend,Susan and I come…she’s a regular. Our waitress suggested I try the Mongolian beef with broccoli. Susan ordered fish cakes. We shared white rice. The meal was very tasty and beautifully prepared. There was plenty for leftovers and I loved the reheated beef. On prior evenings, we shared their amazing lobster platter. I helps to speak or read Chinese, but you can’t go far wrong just accepting their recommendations. I look forward to my next visits.

    Omggg the bartender Niecey was AMAZING! We decided to sit at the bar and have dinner and ended up being there until close lol. The Chef Pierre came out and chatted with us a few time and made my friend a special dish due to her seafood allergy. We had the airline chicken, broccolini, cajun pasta with chicken and brussel sprouts and everything was DELICIOUS
