The Main Dining Room is warm and inviting and the comfortable Lounge Area features over 150 Wines, 130 Liquors, and over 70 Martinis including Frankie's Signature Pineapple Martini, made from the freshest of pineapples.

The Menu Features USDA Prime Beef fresh cut Steaks and Chops. Seafood, Chicken, Salads, Sides large enough to share, and scrumptious desserts made from scratch are also available.

It is also ideal for wedding rehearsal dinners, receptions and any other special event. The salads could benefit from enhancement. The dressing on the salad lacked flavor; specifically, the blue cheese dressing in the wedge salad was somewhat bland. Additionally, the cost for two people felt rather high, and it took longer than anticipated to receive our drink order. I also found it difficult to hear the waiter when she was explaining the specials. On a positive note, the filet was very good.

Our food was not good highly disappointed. I got the Seafood Trio, $80 for 3 Jumbo Shrimp, 3 Sea Scallops, and a tiny portion of Crab Meat floating in their Parmasean cognac cream sauce. It was served in a bowl instead of a plate like a soup. I have eaten this dish multiple times but wasn't very good. The sauce was watery, with hardly any taste, no less creamy or parmesan. Then my wives steak was black. I said nothing because I did not want to ruin her Valentine's dinner. I have taken her there many times over the last 20 years, but I think I'm done after last night.

We have been going to Frankie Rowlands for three years in a row for our anniversary!! It is our place to celebrate and to enjoy fine dining at its finest!!

Martini was perfect. Cheese plate a disappointment with mushy blueberries and three cheeses cut into cubes. Entree arrived before wine. Medium filet was wet and glistening in center. “That’s our medium,” says server. The 45.00 filet taken back to kitchen. I’m left to eat baked potato. Filet returned cooked medium. Request for bernaise replacement came with an additional 3.00 charge. “Would you care for dessert?” I declined. “It’s complimentary.” I declined. $122.00 unfortunate meal. A more elegant offer would have been to comp the glass of Shiraz. This was intended to be my one lovely meal in Roanoke. Every reader can draw their own conclusion, but overall it was a sad dining experience. I left a 10.00 tip as the entire team missed the mark. I hope this feedback helps up the game.

We enjoyed Frankie Rowland’s attention to detail and excellent service! The ambiance was quiet and relaxed and our server was amazing. The only negative was the Chicken with Rosemary blanc. It wasn’t cooked well. Otherwise, husbands Salmon was amazing and highly recommend the crème brûlée!
