There were little kids running around and screaming. Parents and staff were completely unresponsive. It felt like a fast food restaurant.

A gorgeous, historic place with beautiful architecture and interior decor, excellent food, warm ambience, friendly and excellent service, just perfect for our family’s pre-Christmas lunch.

My husband and I dined here for a date night dinner. Staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. Recommended are the pork chop, the short rib porter pie with mashed potatoes, and then clam chowder. Drinks were delicious. The ambiance reminds me of the Prancing Pony from Lord of the Rings, and during the holidays they add tasteful festive decorations. Definitely make a reservation before stopping in for food.

The Christmas decor was very cute. The host kept seating walk-in before seating us -which I found to be weird. Our server was not friendly or attentive. She seemed annoyed every time she came to our table. The food was ok but not worth the price.

A warm, lovely spot to eat. You can feel the history and taste the love that goes into the delicious food prep. Don't miss it if you visit or live in NYC. One drawback/negative ... in my reservation I wrote that I was bringing a friend we were celebrating her birthday. I thought there would be some kind of celebratory dessert provided as I've experienced in other establishments. There wasn't even an acknowledgement.

I recently dined at Fraunces Tavern and left feeling disappointed, particularly due to the customer service. Upon arrival, the host was unhelpful and didn’t make us feel welcomed, asked if reservation could be moved an hour early, asked to wait twenty minutes but still ended waiting until booking time because she forgot about us. which set a negative tone for the rest of the meal. The restaurant clearly needed additional wait staff, as service was slow and disorganized. Our waitress, while polite, seemed completely emotionless and lacked the warmth and enthusiasm one would expect from a hospitality professional. Despite being impressed by the menu, the lack of engaging service made me hesitant to order more. It’s unfortunate because I would have gladly tried additional dishes had the overall experience been more pleasant. I hope they take this feedback seriously, as improving customer service could make a significant difference for future diners.

Food took a while to come out. We were sat, ordered drinks and an appetizer (charcuterie and cheese board) and ordered food when our drinks were delivered. An hour layer we got our meals. The server was fantastic, the food was very tasty and drinks were great.
