Utilizing the chef’s simple yet high quality approach, the fresh, seasonal local ingredients of Connecticut are transformed into beautifully inspired dishes. Our Local Food Commitment allows us to work with local farmers and artisans to ensure the quality of locally grown ingredients from the sea, land and soil. These fresh ingredients and vibrant tastes of Fresh Salt are available daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located right on the water means seriously fresh seafood and our menu definitely delivers. From the beloved Lobster Roll to the cherished Clam Chowder and so many more specialties, Fresh Salt dishes are guaranteed to please every palate. We offer indoor and outdoor dining, outdoor dining is based on a first come first serve basis, outdoor dining is non-reservable.

Great service and great food. We have dined here several times and Fresh Salt never disappoints. We especially like the variety of oysters available.

Excellent as always. We live sitting in the sunroom overlooking the harbor all lit up for the holidays.,The Christmas music in the background was a nice touch while dining on excellent food. Seafood always fresh. Lexi our server was excellent making it a relaxing enjoyable evening.

Our first visit to Fresh Salt. A beautiful spot although it was too dark to enjoy the waterfront location. The ambiance was delightfully quiet at a very comfortable table. The service was excellent and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. My Rhode Island Chowder, my favorite, was very good, This offering is very difficult to find so I was excited to try it. My wife had a blended chowder of a mix of New England and Rhode Island she declared it excellent as well. I had the Cast Iron Seared Pork Chop. A very satisfying portion and cooked to perfection. My wife's Swordfish was very good too. And the Bread Pudding for dessert was the best finish I could hope for. Our only criticism was the food could have been served hotter. Overall, the visit to Fresh Salt was well worth it and we will return.
