Fried Green Tomatoes proudly serves steaks and boasts a Wine Spectator Award winning wine menu. Outstanding service and an inviting atmosphere make Fried Green a must stop while in downtown historic Galena, Illinois. Fried Green Tomatoes is the place for steak, fresh scallops, and homemade lasagna. Reservations accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a multi-level dining facility in a historic downtown building. For the dining enjoyment for all of our guests, we do not provide highchairs or booster seats.

We try our best to accommodate your requests but we do not guarantee certain tables.

The fish special Mahi was very good. However one of our party have chicken piccata and said the chicken was overcooked Our server Vera was very good

Staff was okay, polite but not super friendly but the food was way overpriced for the quality. My filet mignon was charred all on the outside and my husbands filet was overcooked and mangled together, best part of both our meals was his mashed potatoes.

My wife and I had an excellent Anniversary dinner. Made the reservation on Open Table, and noted that it was our Anniversary. Fried Green Tomatoes set aside a very nice table for us, had a little Happy Anniversary sign on the table, and gave us a complimentary Crème Brûlée for desert. Food, service and ambience was top notch. Thanks for a great experience!

A terrific option for terrific Italian food in the heart of downtown Galena. The filet special with mushroom risotto was exceptional.

Really good experience overall, staff were very friendly, food was very good, atmosphere was nice. We highly recommend the restaurant for any one who wants a great dining experience.
