The food is always good at at this restaurant. Unfortunately, last night’s experience was not good in terms of service. We had a 6 o’clock reservation. We were seated right away and brought Friends. It took over 15 minutes to take our drink order and then another 20 minutes to take our food order. At 7:30, five minutes after we paid the bill, we were asked if we could either move to another place in the restaurant or leave because there were people waiting for a table. It was totally bizarre and uncomfortable for us and our guests.

Overall experience was ok, food as over priced, but the kicker was there inability to substitute anything on the menu. I had a decent meal this time, but will not be back.

I love the Grenache red wine and their mole. The waitress was super sweet and provided phenomenal service. I recommend 10:10!

Had great wine and their mole is incredible. Try the moladitas with extra mole. Amazing and the service was great. Nice way to would up the week!

We have mixed feelings about our dining experience at Gabbys Mexican kitchen. The restaurant is beautifully designed. The rustic red brick walls and large antique like light fixtures feel warm and inviting. The server we had this evening was friendly, professional and responded quickly to our requests, thank you! The margaritas are ok. I’ve had better and worse. The house margarita was mild flavored. My husband had the mezcal margarita, for my taste it was very smoky although he likes the flavor of smoke in dishes and beverages. We had the chips and salsa (nicely flavored ) and the guacamole (absolutely bland). We added salt but it didn’t coax flavor from the dip. The empanadas (very creative & flavorful but lukewarm). We also ordered the queso with chorizo and mushrooms (again very mild flavored, although the pickled peppers had a nice heat/flavor and the homemade corn and flour tortillas were amazing). We shared the shrimp enchiladas with poblano sauce. That was the best dish of the evening! I highly recommend it. We are from out of town and probably won’t be in the area again anytime soon. If we are, I don’t believe we would return for another meal as nice and friendly as this restaurant is.

Pozole broth didn’t have a lot of flavor. The mole tasted too much like ancho and cinnamon. Plantains could have used more sauce

Truly enjoyed Gabbi's, hadn't been here in quite some time. It has changed in a good way. Food was good, a little spicier than I like but good none the less. Our server was fairly attentive, but did cope an attitude when we presented gift cards. All and all we enjoyed ourselves. I'd go back for sure. Great margarita and our server did recommend.
