Korean Restaurant + BBQ | Penthouse Bar + Lounge | GAONNURI [gah-ohn-nu-ri]: The Center of the World

The name GAONNURI represents our placement in what we believe is the center of the world, both physically and figuratively. Located in the heart of New York City, a city that represents the intersection of the finest cuisines and eclectic cultures, GAONNURI seeks to gather people of all backgrounds to share in a traditional Korean dining experience. We hope that the authenticity of the food and the enjoyment of the dining experience will invite patrons for generations to come. Thank you for allowing us to invite and serve you in our own culinary center.

Reservations 8:30pm and after are for guests looking to join us through the New Year with final seating at 10pm.     A unique and tasty dining experience. A fantastic view of New York and you are taken care of from the moment you arrive and leave the restaurant. We got both the Omakase BBQ menu and the 5-course menu - both can be recommended. The meat is tender and juicy and well seasoned and delicious. We had the nicest service and the waiter ensures that your meat is grilled to your liking. So sit back and enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the lovely vibe, because we did - and we will definitely come again when we visit New York.

    Fantastic dinner and experience on Christmas Eve, would absolutely dine again. The tasting menu was surprising and diverse. We were very full.

    I’ve been to Gaonnuri several times, this time the service was not as good. It wasn’t the individual server themselves, the overall team just not as attentive as I’d become accustomed to. The food was still very good, as always. I went to celebrate my birthday, probably will return but not for a special occasion.
