Nestled in the heart of Germantown, #GTCNash is a welcoming experience with a menu specializing in straightforward cooking with a splash of Southern hospitality- comfortable, not complicated.

Please be aware there is a two hour dining limit on all tables to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy our reopening.

Food was very good, the server was very kind and attentive. My sister has food allergies and they were careful in food prep. Wonderful experience and we will be back.

It has been a while since I've eaten at the Germantown Cafe and as usual, I was not disappointed. The food was excellent my dining companion and I both had the Gumbo with had excellent flavor as just the right amount of kick to warm us on a cold afternoon. Additionally, we shared the crab cake and meat balls which were both fantastic. The only disappointment was that I cannot make crab cakes at home nearly as good. We also split their famous apple pie with cinnamon ice cream which is out of this world. The entire experience exceeded my expectations.

Overall very good, but room to improve. Breakfast bowl was interestingly good, with the sausage playing much more like chorizo and tons of potatoes setting the base. Frankly should have had more with the chips because the salt was a good flavor add. French toast was “interesting” for my teens. They didn’t hate, but also didn’t love. Portion was a bit disappointing to them. But the biscuits and gravy was very good to both of them. They’d order that again (and again). Wife had the Benedict, which didn’t come with bfast meat. The poached eggs were solid gel in the yolk…a no-no for that dish. And again a ton of Potatoes on the side. Servers were a bit overstretched, but friendly and attentive. Pricing was as expected, or even a bit less so, given the location. I’m sure we will be back some time in the future, though it’s not exactly nearby for us.

NYE 7:00 resi’s, restaurant was packed but the service was wonderful! We haven’t been in a couple of years and we were pleasantly surprised by the prices! The food has always been delicious!

It’s a Nashville staple for a reason. Everything from the drinks to the dessert was delicious and perfectly portioned. If I had to make a critique, the proteins were a bit overcooked but the flavors made up for it! So so good.

Normally the dining room is very loud but we hit a good night where we could hear each other. All depends if there are loud voices near your table. Food and service was great.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday at 11:00. Wife and I both had the French onion soup and it was out standing. We should have stopped there but our entrees were the crab cakes and pork tenderloin. The crab cakes had way too much filler, the pork was way over cooked, very dry/jerky like. The mashed potato’s were instant. Overall very disappointed, one and done.

I was a bit disappointed bc I booked Germantown Cafe based on their holiday vibes only to find the holiday decor was only in the bar area, they were even out of the holiday cocktail I wanted. Our food was ok but came out luke warm at best. Our server was super sweet though but seemed as if she was taking care of everyone in the dining room so she couldn’t check in on us. We will def be back bc we know it’s a hectic time of year and Germantown Cafe is always a staple. Lots of local love and Happy Holidays!

Good was average, ambitious was nothing special, service sucked! Excuses for everything and forgot my husband’s entree - never came back to check on us to let her know and when she did (to bring the bill) she made sure she wanted 20% tip !! Who does that ?!? If you are overwhelmed and overworked then maybe this is not the job for you - restaurant business is high paced! The manager was decent when chatted and took care of our portion of the bill and listened to corrective criticism.
