Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse has been a Chicago icon since partners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo opened its doors in May 1989. The classic American steakhouse serves Gibsons Prime Angus Beef and Gibsons Grassfed Australian Beef. Gibsons also features fresh fish, classic cocktails, an extensive wine list and exceptional service. Steak was over charred burnt taste and not juicy for medium rare. Usually very good but my husband would eat if it was shoe leather and not complain.

Great place to meet up for a terrific meal. The food was prepared perfectly, wonderful flavors. Limited but good options for wine by the glass. Slight mishap with one of the dinners, so one person had to wait. Credit for a glass of wine would have been nice but not offered. I still highly recommend Gibson's.

Everything overall was really good, just not quite a 5-star. Steak was bit overcooked, little tough for a ribeye and under-seasoned. My wife had the grouper and it was very very good. Hash browns - don’t recommend at all. Everyone else was great.

Unfortunately we had a reservation time that they did not uphold which caused us to hurry through the meal and still miss part of a concert. The food was good and servers were nice and courteous.

The restaurant and bar were packed! Plus there was another private event going on. I love the decor, the food is SO good. Every wait staff person who came to our table was patient, kind, knowledgeable about menu. We didn’t have just on waiter - at least 4! It was very hard to talk/hear - noise level was high. We enjoyed our meal very much!
