Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse has been a Chicago icon since partners Hugo Ralli and Steve Lombardo opened its doors in May 1989. The classic American steakhouse serves Gibsons Prime Angus Beef and Gibsons Grassfed Australian Beef. As to be expected this was a worthwhile splurge. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. We had lobster bisque, filet mignon, the house steak and an Australian ribeye. Sides were creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. All came out perfect. Highly recommend!!

We went for burgers and all 3 were ordered medium. I took my family there bragging about the burgers. They were good but were medium well. So not terrible but not what we would of liked. also one had to be sent back because it was the wrong cheese. It felt like it was an error on the server, there was a big hesitation when he served them to us. he was behind me so I don't really know why there was a delay. A $20 burger should come out perfect as ordered. My husbands chicken was great. Drinks and brussels were good. We were celebrating a special night and Gibson is a place we go for various occasions and also to host parties, So a loyal customer was a little let down.

Incredible Date night. Ez in and Ez out. I had the Australian grass fed ribeye. It was phenomenal. Wait-staff was as professional as they come. All I can is wow.

We dined at the Rosemont location on New Year’s Eve. Our dining experience was very good. However, I would have rated it excellent if we had better service. Three mistakes I thought the waiter made: 1) When we sat down initially, the waiter talked way too fast to tell us the specials and the different types of steaks the restaurant offered. I could barely understand what he was saying! 2) After the food was served, the waiter did not come back to ask if the steaks were cooked properly. Mine was not as I had asked for Medium Rare and I got Medium. 3) My water was running very low and I had to motion to the waiter to fill my glass. I expect a restaurant of this class to provide much better service for the prices they charge. If I go to Gibson’s again, I’ll try a different location.

Food was great! The tables were too close and cramped for servers and people to get around. The ambiance needs work as this is not a good place to have a romantic dinner. You can hear conversations next to you.

Had dinner with my spouse on New Year’s Eve appetizers oysters were excellent shrimp was not good seem they were refrigerated for an extended period of time. Noise level was extremely high and we were surrounded by several very drunk men that were very obnoxious and very loud with regards to our entrées, the mashed potatoes were cold. I had an Australian grass fed rib. . I had an Australian grass fed ribeye steak, the meat was very dense and not good whatsoever. My wife had ordered a bone and filet mignon, which was overcooked and had a lot of grizzle attached to it. This was not a good experience whatsoever and disappointed that we ended up paying about $350 for a dinner.

Came here for a New Year’s Eve dinner instead of the Oakbrook location, which we usually go to. The service we received was subpar. I know it was busy but the waiter really rushed us. He didn’t show us any of the meats or lobster and forgot to put my app order in. The food was good, except our potato was cold but we just wanted to go at this point.
