   i love gjelina; and have been a loyal visitor, but the service was mediocre at best. basically ignored the whole night. food was good, but lacked flavor. a little disappointed but think it might’ve been an off night.

   Food was very good. Service was very spotty. Our server (Dylan) was very nice, but was not very attentive. We had to ask busier to find him to order 2nd drink, and to get the check. And, my fish sandwich came out 5minutes after my wife’s smoked salmon platter. And, they add the “Mandatory Service Charge” of 20% to check which normally I would not care; but in this case, service was very sub par.

   Everyone is very nice but the service is unbelievably slow these days. We ordered some appetizers, mains and sides to share and every dish came out one at a time. Carrots as a side? Wonderful. On their own for 25 minutes? A little strange. Luckily we didn’t have anywhere to be but 2.5 hours for dinner was a bit excessive. I have been a fan for a very long time but it feels they are coasting a bit now on name

   Great little restaurant on the busiest street in Venice. Delicious meal and great service. This is the perfect date night spot.

    Fabulous! Gjelina never disappoints with fresh, creative seasonal fare. We ordered 2 sandwiches, traded half way through and enjoyed a side of frites and Lambrusco. Everything was delicious and interesting, yet approachable. It was a perfect lunch. Definitely a busy spot, plan to be patient even if you have a reservation.
