Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is primarily first come, first served. If you do not see the time you want available online, please call us directly.

When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith.

She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food.

    Servers are the best - cornbread is amazing. Drinks are strong! We’ve been twice and when you want southern cooking, it hits.

    The Food and services was great. Plenty of choices on the menu, definitely a good spot if you want southern home cooking meals.

    Spouse and I ordered 2 different entrees. Entree and sides were plentiful, entrees prepared so tender, could cut with a fork. Had reservation for 8p, when arrived, place was full, with waiting line, but we were seated on time. Wait staff attentive. We like this place. Our only concern is we think their mixed drinks and wines are a little pricey based on our experience with similar restaurants.

    We got there about 15 minutes late so I explained to the hostess that we had a reservation but we are late, she was very condescending with her response that we could have called in and they would have adjusted the time which I now get but the tone behind it was not nice. We had no idea that we could have done that so her attitude about it was uncalled for in addition the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time therefore no one was waiting to get a table. This is my third visit and never had the hostess had a bad attitude. Will I go again, probably but if I'm shown the same attitude I'll talk to the manager about it and note it in my review again.

    Trevon, our waiter was the BEST! I have never received such excellent service as we did on that Saturday! We couldn't believe that he didn't take notes for our order, but didn't miss a beat. The food and drinks were excellent! I thought my nieces from Chicago were never going to stop ordering food, especially since I warned them that the food in Texas can be different than Chicago. They were simply amazed! Thank you Trevon.

    When we arrived we were seated quickly which was very nice. As we were sitting by the fireplace they were nice enough to turn it off as it was too warm. Food was very good and enjoyable.
