Our famous restaurant in Upcountry is a must see for anyone visiting Maui!

Come and experience the renowned Hawaiian hospitality and aloha spirit of Maui at Hali’imaile General Store. With a hundred-year history and over three decades of providing delicious meals to both Upcountry Maui locals and visitors, our restaurant in Hali’imaile is a must-see for anyone visiting Maui. Join us for a taste of the island’s finest cuisine and an opportunity to uncover a piece of Maui’s rich history at our conveniently located restaurant near the town of Makawao and on the road to and from Haleakalā National Park.

Farm-to-table is not a new concept to us! Our restaurant has been promoting and featuring locally sourced produce, seafood, meats and products since 1988. Our dishes are a unique blend of fresh Hawaiian food, local Asian influences and modern preparations.

Seating starts at 6:00 PM, the buffet will open at 6:30 PM, and the night will heat up with dancing after dinner. Enjoy our drink specials, including a Tamarind Whiskey Sour – a crowd favorite! Please note: The live band will keep the energy high during the dancing portion, so the music may be loud due to the intimate venue. We can't wait to see you there!

    Hali'imaile General Store delivers again. Our server, Heather, has take care of us before and she was just as wonderful as always. My wife and I both had the Fish Curry and it was excellent. The curry was not too spicy for those that do not prefer spice but very flavorful. There was a wide variety of ingredients with the main star the mahi mahi. So good. For dessert we shared a banana cheesecake and it, too, was wonderful. Another great experience from a great restaurant!

    Wonderful lunch! The crab pizza lived up to the hype, delicious and unique. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great (Michael?). Thank you!
