Spitalfields Bar Sunday Roast

Our cosy basement bar will be open every Sunday from 12pm - 4pm, serving a special Hawksmoor Sunday Roast Menu and handpicked cocktails. We will be able to host groups of up to 10 people. Advanced booking is necessary, and parties will be seated in the Downstairs Bar. Unfortunately the bar area is not wheelchair accessible.

We can't leave a kind enough review about our experience at Hawksmoor Spitafield's. My partner and I love Hawksmoor and every few months for years have been popping it to treat ourselves with the best steak and wine in London. This eve we lastmin.com decided to pop into Spitafield's Hawksmoor to get a Porterhouse and Bold Red (as one does on a whim).... And we had the most amazing evening. Food was incredible. Wine was incredible. But most importantly the servers really cared about how we enjoyed our experience and we're precise about my allergies. I can't recommend this enough. We will be back soon and often. Special thanks to Harry for taking such good care of us. (And team!)

For a real treat this was where we wanted to go and it didn’t disappoint one bit. Delicious cocktails, friendly staff, we went for surf and turf - the lobster was succulent and the flavour and texture of the fillet steak was incredible! Old spot belly ribs to start were a real highlight and the prawn cocktail was not your typical seafood sauce - it was herby and spicy and really satisfying. Though we couldn’t fit in one more bite after our main meal indulgence, we did take home a box of salted caramel chocolates which when enjoyed with a cuppa the next day kept the experience going a little longer as they were a burst of flavour. I say experience because this is somewhere if you love a good steak you can definitely revisit again and again (and at Spitalfields bar for the brilliant selection of cocktails - pina fizz yum!) but if you want to go somewhere special (especially for the foodies) just relax and really savour the amazing attention to detail from the staff, the excellent cooking, be prepared for high prices but just give in as a treat and indulge!!!

Very consistent. Great rib with Sunday roast. Excellent service. Only bugbear is the 2 hr sitting time but we were offered another table downstairs. Excellent.

The food was amazing and the service was exemplary. We had the roast and it was excellent. It is not a cheap restaurant, however if you are looking for good food in a lovely setting, then this is a good choice for you.

Our table wasn’t ready as other guests hadn’t left in time but they seated us at bar while we waited for our booth. It was very busy but food and drinks good as usual. Thank you for the birthday treat!

Wine is overpriced and service not as good as normal. Had to ask for our overpriced wine to be topped up. Lots of staff but didn’t feel they were very attentive. Always good food though.
