Herbie's is an American restaurant and bar inspired by the food & atmosphere of the French bistro as well as the cuisines of Italy, Asia, and the coastal American South. Our focus is on seasonal dishes with local ingredients, featuring rotating menus and daily specials with something to satisfy every palate. Renowned for our welcoming hospitality and gorgeous dining rooms & patios, we strive to make every guest feel at home, whether here for a business meeting, an intimate dinner, or any other occasion!

We accept reservations online & over the phone. For parties larger than 6 guests, please email reservations@herbies.com with your name, party size, date, time, phone number, and any additional requests.

After a hard couple of weeks, we had a family dinner at Herbies, a restaurant that I had read about but not yet visited. The service was great and the entrees matched that. We are a family who doesn't like to duplicate orders when we go out so we can try different items and everything met or exceeded expectations, which is rare for our group. We started with onion dip - fantastic - and butternut squash flatbread which tasted very similar to a butternut casserole that we have have been making for years. The beet salad was also a hit as was the french onion soup. For entrees we had scallops with pasta, steak with frites, short ribs, polenta with shrimp added, and beef wellington. The beef wellington had a little bit too much going on for my taste but all the other dishes were fabulous. For desert we had creme brulee and lemon bars. Creme brulee is not my favorite and it's a good thing because it was claimed by my daughters and polished off. The lemon bars were the only item that was a miss that night because the crust was too gummy but overall the meal was very enjoyable, with high quality dishes and great service. I rank our meal at Herbies as one of the three best meals we've had out in St. Louis when trying new restaurants in St. Louis in the last two years.

Very good food, but menu is inconsistently expensive...$22 for crab benedict, including potatoes and salad, which seems like market in expensive areas, but $5 for a very small biscuit. Mimosas on the menu, but no orange juice. Ants joined our table via an open sugar packet, so we had to switch tables in the empty dining room. Waiter was very apologetic, but it seems like they might have comped our coffee. Overall weird and inconsistent.

The staff was friendly & attentive, the food was less than expected. I ordered the French Dip & Fries which arrived in a timely manner, luke warm with gristle and a sauce making it more like a Reuben. I wouldn’t recommend.

Went to Brunch with friends. Service from start to finish was wonderful. I will return to try other items on their Brunch menu but my issue was with my order on this day. I got the Biscuits and Gravy. They make this their own by including large pieces of a lot of sausage. The sausage is either smoked or has smoked flavoring added and this ends up dominating the taste of the entire meal overpowering the gravy and biscuits. Other items we ordered - BELTA and French Toast were very good.

We had a lovely dinner at Herbies. The fall menu was well received by everyone in our group. Chef came out to say hello to our table which was a nice touch. Our server was professional and had excellent suggestions. We can't wait to return!
